While I was exploring the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center, I noticed this guy gal flying around. I approached, but every time I took a step toward him her, she’d take off, fly around for a moment, then land somewhere else. I managed to get close enough to get this shot, before she took off for good.
Correction: this is a female Ebony Jewelwing damselfly (Calopteryx maculata). Thanks Chuck!
