For my birthday, my wife and I flew to Washington, D.C. to visit some friends. One of the days we were there we spent hanging out on the National Mall. This is one of the trees on the mall, probably a few days past its peak color. The deep blue effect of the sky was attained with the circular polarizer my wife surprised me with in DC.
