I don’t know how much time I’ve spent stalking these butterflies. About the only time they ever land with their wings open is when they’re near death. Because they’re near death, they also tend to land on the ground which makes for very boring photos. There are some serious technical problems with this image, but I was so ecstatic about actually catching one with it’s wings open and getting a somewhat decent shot, I just had to post it.
