Minnehaha Falls in the Chattahoochee National Forest, is one of my favorite waterfalls to photograph. Because it’s so close to my mother-in-law’s house, and only a short walk from the road, I can get there and get back without taking a lot of time away from the family. As often as I go back, I’m often surprised at how easily I find new compositions that I’d never considered before. This visit was no exception. A large tree had fallen, crushing a thicket of trees and also creating a path to area that had previously only been accessible by down climbing the falls. This is one of the views made available by the fallen tree (on the right, I was standing under the trunk on the opposite bank.
