I considered calling this shot, "bonehead mistakes", not because the shot turned out badly, but because so many of my other shots did. The last time I used my D70, I must have switched the ISO to AUTO, and forgot to check it before starting to shoot. I got a lot of photos at ISO 1600, because I was manually bracketing the shots, deliberately over/under exposing parts of the scene to create a composite later on. My camera, however, was trying to help me get a proper exposure on the entire scene, and adjusted the ISO accordingly. So, I didn’t get all of the shots I wanted. Fortunlatey, Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve is practically on my way home, so I can go back often.
